Office Wall Panels and Partitions in Los Angeles

Offices

Element Decor is a family-owned millwork shop in Chatsworth, working since 2014. We build wood wall panels, slat walls, wood partitions and slat ceilings for reception areas, meeting rooms, private offices and open floors across Los Angeles County and Ventura County, drawn and built in our own shop and installed by our own crew.

Our closest finished job to an office is commercial: a slat ceiling with integrated lighting and wipeable wall panels for a clinic in West Hollywood, completed February 2024. Our partitions in Los Angeles homes are built the way an office divider has to be: anchored top and bottom into structure, fixings hidden, both faces finished.

What an office wall has to take

Office walls are touched and cleaned every day. On the West Hollywood clinic the wall panels were finished in a closed, cleanable surface rather than an open grain, and that is the finish we recommend for reception walls, corridors and anywhere hands and chairs reach. The finish is matched to a sample and approved before production.

A partition on an open floor is seen from both sides. The gray stained oak partition we built in Marina del Rey (August 2025) is anchored top and bottom into structure, with the fasteners hidden inside the frame profile, and both faces are finished to the same standard. Tinted panels between the uprights break up sight lines while daylight still crosses the room.

Office buildings have rules a house does not. For an apartment in Los Angeles (May 2019) everything was cut in our shop and brought in through a single elevator, in sections sized to fit it, with dry fitting done before anything was fixed: no dust-heavy cutting on site, no scarred hallways, building quiet hours respected. On a larger floor, work is fabricated and labelled by location so it can be installed in the sequence the site needs.

Office millwork questions

What do office wall panels cost in Los Angeles?

A paneled feature wall in one material usually runs $4,000 to $10,000, and complex walls with mixed materials, inlay, curves or light run $15,000 to $20,000. A wood partition or room divider runs $4,000 to $8,000. Options and multi-area scopes are priced from the drawings.

Which finish holds up in an office?

A closed, cleanable finish rather than an open grain, the same finish we used on the wall panels of a clinic in West Hollywood, where the rooms are wiped down constantly. The finish is matched to a sample and approved before production.

Can a slat wall make a meeting room quieter?

Slat walls can take an acoustic felt backing where the room needs it, which softens the sound of a room full of glass and hard floors. Tell us at the drawing stage which rooms need it.

Can you work around building rules and an occupied floor?

Yes. For an apartment in Los Angeles everything was cut in our shop, sized to fit a single elevator and dry fitted before anything was fixed, with building quiet hours respected. Work is labelled by location, so it can go in the order the site needs.

When do you measure?

After framing and drywall, not from the drawing set, so panels are cut to the wall that was built.

Do you work with general contractors and designers?

Yes. We produce shop drawings from your elevations and issue them for markup, and one contact stays with the job from scope review to closeout. Designers, architects, general contractors and developers qualify for trade pricing.

How long does it take?

4 to 6 weeks of production after the shop drawings are approved, then installation by our own crew.

Send the floor plan and elevations, a finish schedule, or photos of the space with rough dimensions. You get back shop drawings, a price and a schedule before anything is cut. Designers, architects and general contractors can open a trade account.
