Element Decor is a family-owned millwork shop in Chatsworth, working since 2014. We make wall panels, built-ins, media walls, wood ceilings and room dividers for homes on the Westside of Los Angeles, from Malibu and Pacific Palisades to Brentwood, Bel Air, Santa Monica, Venice and Marina del Rey. Everything is built in our own shop and installed by our own crew.

What we have built on the Westside
Our Westside work so far: walnut panels with brass strips in Pacific Palisades (2022), oak and walnut slat panels through a Brentwood home (2024), CNC carved walnut with brass in Santa Monica (2023) and carved white oak in Venice (2024), tinted oak panels with a matching partition (2021) and walnut with brass inlay (2024) in Malibu, walnut panels with a room divider in Topanga (2024), a whole house of panels and partitions in Bel Air (2026), a gray oak partition in Marina del Rey (2025) and a slat ceiling for a clinic in West Hollywood (2024).
Each of those started the same way. The walls were templated after drywall, the joints were set out on shop drawings, and the veneer for the job was bought from one batch, so the rooms read as one piece of work in the same daylight.
Close to the water, a wall has to stay flat through the humidity swing. On the carved oak wall in Venice the panels were built on a stable core and sealed on both faces before installation, and we build the same way for any job near the coast.

Rebuilding after the fire
Much of Pacific Palisades and parts of Malibu are being rebuilt after the January 2025 fire. For a new house we work from the architect's set: fixings and power for media walls go on the shop drawings before framing closes, we template after drywall and install room by room.

Is a shop in Chatsworth too far for a Westside job?
No. The work is built and dry fitted in our shop, so time on site is templating and installation, and our own crew installs across Los Angeles County and Ventura County.
What does custom millwork cost?
Every job is quoted from its own drawings or photos. As a guide, simple paneled walls run $4,000 to $10,000, more complex walls $15,000 to $20,000, and room dividers $4,000 to $8,000. Options such as lighting are priced separately.
How long does a project take?
Production takes 4 to 6 weeks after the shop drawings are approved. We template the walls after drywall, then build, finish and dry fit the work in Chatsworth before our crew installs it.
Do you work on fire rebuilds?
Yes. We draw from the architect's set, set out fixings and power on the shop drawings before framing closes, template after drywall and install room by room.
Do you work with designers, architects and builders?
Yes. Designers, architects, general contractors and developers can open a trade account for standing trade pricing, and samples go to your studio or straight to the client before anything is signed off.
