What is a custom wall panel?

It is a wall surface drawn for one room and built to its measurements, rather than a boxed panel cut down to fit. Module widths, reveals and joints are set out around the doors, corners, outlets and lighting that already exist in the room, then the panels are made in our Chatsworth shop and installed as a single surface.

How is this different from panels sold in a box?

A boxed panel comes in a fixed module, so the seams repeat across the wall wherever they land. We cut panel widths to the wall we measured, carry the grain across the joints, and mitre the corners so the spacing continues around them.

What does a custom wall panel cost in Los Angeles?

Most simple paneled walls we build run $4,000 to $10,000, and complex walls with mixed materials, inlay or curves run $15,000 to $20,000. Options such as lighting are priced separately. Send the wall dimensions and a photo and you get an exact number.

How long does a custom wall take?

Production takes four to six weeks after the shop drawings are approved. We template the wall after drywall, then build, finish and dry fit the panels in our Chatsworth shop, and our crew usually fits a single wall in one or two days.

Do I see the wall before it is made?

Yes. You approve a 3D preview of your own room, and the preview is free. Nothing is cut until the layout, the material and the finish are signed off.

Which woods can I have?

White oak, walnut, rift and quarter sawn oak, ash, Fineline and reconstituted veneers, or a veneer you supply. Stains and tints are matched to a sample and a sample is sent back for approval.

Do you install, or do I need a contractor?

We install with our own crew across Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Outside that area the panels ship dry fitted and ready to hang.

Do you work with designers and contractors?

Yes. We work from an early idea, a finished drawing set or a difficult wall, and we work directly with homeowners, interior designers, architects and general contractors.

We design architectural wall panels around the actual proportions of your space: doors, corners, outlets, lighting and furniture included. Every panel is made in our Chatsworth shop and fitted by our own crew, so the finished wall feels permanent, intentional and completely yours.
