TV and Media Walls

TV and media walls

The wall your TV disappears into.

A mounted screen on bare drywall is the last unfinished thing in most living rooms. We build the whole wall instead: slats or panels floor to ceiling, the cables inside it, the components in a ventilated bay, and the television reading as one element in a surface rather than a black rectangle stuck to the paint.

Ventilated component bayA closed but breathing space for the receiver, console or soundbar.
Structural mount backingSolid backing built in behind the bracket position, so the mount is not carrying on drywall.
Integrated lightingLED washing the surface behind the screen, on a separate switch or dimmer.
Storage and floating shelvesDrawers, cabinetry or a single floating shelf, depending on how the room is used.
Fireplace openingClearances for a linear electric unit worked into the panel layout from the first drawing.

Questions

Media wall FAQ.

How much does a media wall cost?

It depends on size, species and how much storage sits behind the face. Send us the wall dimensions and a photo and we will come back with a real number rather than a range that means nothing.

Can you hide the cables and the components?

Yes. Wiring runs inside the wall, and we build in a ventilated bay for the receiver, console or soundbar so nothing sits on show.

Will the TV mount safely?

We build a backing plate into the panel structure at the mount position, so the bracket lands on solid material rather than drywall.

Can it include a fireplace?

Yes. Linear electric fireplaces are common in these walls. We build the opening and the clearances into the panel layout from the start.

How long does it take?

Lead time depends on the species and the amount of built-in work. We give you a date with the quote, not after you have paid.

Do you install, or do I need a contractor?

We install with our own crew across Los Angeles County, Ventura County and parts of Orange County. Outside that area we ship panels ready to hang.
