Oak and Walnut Slat Panels for a Home
Oak and walnut through a single home, used as two tools rather than two materials. Oak carries the larger, quieter surfaces. Walnut marks the places the eye should stop: the entry, the fireplace, the wall behind the bed.
Running two species through one house only works if the finish is consistent, so both were sealed with the same matte system and the sheen was matched before anything was installed. Every run was cut to the measured wall, so panels meet the ceiling and the trim without filler.
- Species: white oak and walnut veneer
- Scope: multiple rooms in one residence
- Detail: matched sheen across both species
- Fit: cut to measured dimensions, no site filler
