Walnut Slat Wall with Floating Shelf
A walnut slat wall with a single floating shelf running through it. The shelf interrupts the slat rhythm at one height and nothing else does, which is what makes it read as intentional rather than added later.
A shelf inside a slat wall cannot be surface fixed without breaking the effect. This one is carried on concealed steel let into the wall structure before the slats went on, so there is no visible bracket and no sag along the span.
