Walnut Panels with Backlit Slat Inserts
Walnut panels with slat inserts set into the field, and light behind the inserts. The wall stays mostly solid, and the slatted sections act as punctuation rather than covering the whole surface.
Mixing two treatments in one wall means the transition detail carries everything. The inserts sit in machined recesses so the slat field is flush with the panel face, and the lighting runs inside the recess where the driver stays reachable. Species and finish are identical across both so the two read as one material.
- Species: walnut veneer throughout
- Build: slat inserts recessed flush into solid panels
- Lighting: concealed inside the recess
- Detail: matched finish across both treatments
