Porter Ranch U-Beams and Panels
What was built in Porter Ranch?
Dark stained U-beams run across the ceiling of an open kitchen and living room in Porter Ranch, and white oak panels wrap the kitchen island below them. The beams are clad, not structural: a light hollow section faced in real wood, so the ceiling carries the look without the weight of solid timber.
Each run was cut to the measured ceiling in our Chatsworth shop, a few miles from Porter Ranch, so the beams meet the walls without filler. The island panels were veneered on a stable core and finished before delivery, then fitted on site by our own crew.
