Wood Mosaic Wall Panels
A mosaic wall built from small wood pieces laid in a repeating field. Each piece sits at a slightly different depth, so the surface has texture you can read from across the room and detail you only see up close.
Work like this is assembled in the shop, never on site. The pieces are laid up onto backing panels on a bench where they can be aligned properly, then the finished panels are hung as units. Trying to place several hundred pieces on a vertical wall gives you a drifting pattern and a very long installation.
