Wall Panels with Mirror Inlay
Wood panels with mirror set into the field. The mirror is not applied over the panel, it is inset flush within the frame so the two surfaces sit in one plane and the joint reads as a line rather than an edge.
Mirror is unforgiving. It shows every deviation in the wall behind it, so the substrate was levelled before anything went up, and each mirror section was cut to its own opening after the panels were dry fitted rather than ordered to nominal sizes.
- Materials: wood veneer panels with inset mirror
- Detail: mirror flush within the panel plane
- Prep: substrate levelled before installation
- Method: mirror cut to actual openings after dry fit
