CNC Carved Oak Wall Panels, Venice
A carved oak wall for a home in Venice. The brief was texture without color, so the pattern carries the whole effect: shallow at the edges, deeper toward the center, so the wall changes as the light moves across it through the day.
Coastal homes move more than inland ones, so the panels were built on a stable core and sealed on both faces before installation. That keeps the veneer flat through the humidity swing you get a few blocks from the water.
